The Quảng Ngãi Provincial Red Cross and Madison Quakers, Inc. (MQI) have just signed a cooperation agreement to sponsor the implementation of humanitarian programs at schools in Sơn Tây Hạ commune, Quảng Ngãi province.
Accordingly, MQI will survey and select 10 schools or community activity sites in Sơn Tây Hạ commune, Quảng Ngãi province to install 10 semi-industrial water purifiers with a capacity of 150-180 liters/hour, ensuring water quality meets hygiene standards. Total value of this program is VNĐ 330,000,000. Additionally, MQI will award 100 scholarships, each worth VNĐ 1,000,000 to students with good academic performance in the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year from families with difficult circumstances. The organisation will also present 50 mini bicycles, with an estimated value of VNĐ 2,000,000 per bike, for students in grades 5, 6, 7 with difficult circumstances.
Total cost of Madison Quakers Inc. (MQ1) sponsoring the program is estimated at VNĐ 530,000,000, equivalent to US$ 21,082.
As scheduled, the Project will be implemented from now until the end of December 2025.
Currently, the Provincial Red Cross is coordinating with the Department of Finance and relevant functional agencies of the province to soon advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve the Project.
