Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm directs landslide recovery efforts in Long Phụng Commune

Due to the impact of Typhoon No.13 combined with high tides and strong waves, more than 200 meters of the coastal road in An Chuẩn Village, Long Phụng Commune, were severely eroded and buried, disrupting traffic and posing safety risks to local residents.

On November 7, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm, together with leaders of provincial departments and agencies, inspected the affected area and directed immediate recovery measures.

After hearing local reports, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm requested the commune to mobilize all available forces, set up barriers, and temporarily restrict access to ensure public safety. Relevant departments, particularly the Department of Construction, Border Guard Command, and local military and police forces, were assigned to coordinate cleanup, repair damaged sections, and help residents restore normal life.

He also instructed Long Phụng Commune to promptly assess and report damages for timely provincial support, while proposing long-term anti-erosion solutions to protect residential areas and essential coastal infrastructure.

The Vice Chairman emphasized that restoring transportation and ensuring safety for residents are immediate priorities, along with reviewing and strengthening disaster prevention and response plans for future storms.
