The provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently reported on tourism activities during the April 30 and May 1, 2025 holidays.
During the five-day holiday from April 30 to May 4, 2025, tourism activities in Quảng Ngãi province were vibrant. Approximately 231,000 visitors, marking a 26 per cent increase over the same period last year, visited the province.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has proactively directed localities, units, and businesses to implement plans to serve tourists during the holidays.
Preparations have been carried out synchronously, ensuring security and safety, improving service quality, and strengthening infrastructure and human resources for tourism.
Due to hot weather during the holiday season, many people and tourists visited the beaches, streams, and lakes.
Many cultural activities and festivals such as the traditional boat racing festival in Lý Sơn island district, the food festival in Bình Thành, and the third traditional boat racing festival at the Cà Ninh coconut forest tourist area were organized, attracting a lot of local people and tourists.
It is estimated that during the five-day holiday, the province welcomed about 231,000 visitors, an increase of 26 per cent over the same period last year.
Revenue from tourism activities reached about VNĐ 219 billion, an increase of 29 per cent.
About 50,000 guests stayed at the facilities, with the average room occupancy rate reaching 65 per cent. Lý Sơn island district recorded a room occupancy rate of nearly 100 per cent. Some destinations attracted thousands of tourists, such as Mỹ Khê beach (27,000), Minh Tân (15,000), Bình Sơn (30,000), Bình Thành (18,000), Suối Chí (Chí Stream) (over 5,000), and Bùi Hui (10,000).
Inspection and supervision work has also been seriously implemented. Tourist destinations and accommodation facilities in the province have been well-prepared, ensuring security, order, food safety and hygiene, and fire prevention.
