Strengthening safety management in chemical activities and gas business activities at enterprises

It aims to ensure safety for people, property and the environment as well as  strictly control industrial chemical activities, especially for new chemicals, dangerous chemicals, restricted chemicals and banned chemicals.

Department of Industry and Trade was requested to guide and urge organizations and individuals operating in industrial chemicals in the province to establish, edit, update, and supplement Plans/Measures for prevention and response to chemical incidents in accordance with the scale, conditions of production, business, use, and characteristics of chemicals to proactively prevent chemical incidents, fires, and explosions from occurring.

It will coordinate with relevant agencies and units in requesting and guiding relevant agencies, organizations and individuals involved in activities related to industrial chemicals and liquefied petroleum gas to strictly implement regulations on fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue.

Department of Industry and Trade will also preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, sectors and localities to strengthen the management, inspection and examination of the implementation of legal regulations on industrial chemicals by organizations and individuals operating in the chemical industry in the province according to prescribed authority.

It was directed to propose competent authorities to handle administrative violations against organizations and individuals operating in chemicals in the province according to the provisions of law.
