Guiding the implementation of the emergency relief project sponsored by IFRC

On December 2, the Provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with relevant agencies to organize training and guide the implementation of the project "Emergency relief for provinces affected by storms and floods in October 2022 in Vietnam" sponsored by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
Participating in the training course, there were representatives of IFRC, the Central Project Management Board of the Viet Nam Red Cross Society, functional departments, agencies, localities and heads of 20 villages benefiting from the project in Tu Nghia district and Ly Son island. At the workshop, delegates were guided and introduced about the Project, the process of selecting households for unconditional cash beneficiaries, repair of conditional houses, criteria for selecting beneficiaries, implementation steps to beneficiaries, reporting after issuance.
In Quang Ngai province, the project helped repair 50 houses (10 million VND/house) damaged by storms and floods in October 2022; cash support for about 800 households and communication to people about clean water and sanitation and disease prevention and control in emergency situations.
Reportedly, the project is implemented in 05 provinces and cities including Nghe An, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Da Nang and Quang Ngai. The purpose of the project is to contribute to supporting poor people to stabilize their lives.
