Provincial leaders resolve long-standing investment projects

QUẢNG NGÃI — Quảng Ngãi is accelerating efforts to resolve difficulties and legal obstacles affecting long-standing projects, with the province aiming to complete the handling of outstanding issues and put delayed investment resources back into effective use.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Trần Phước Hiền chaired a meeting on October 6 to review progress in addressing difficulties and obstacles facing long-standing projects across the province.

At the meeting, Trần Phước Hiền acknowledged the efforts of departments, agencies, units and local authorities in implementing solutions for delayed projects under the special mechanisms provided by Resolution No. 29/2026/QH16 of the National Assembly.

He requested relevant agencies and localities to maintain a strong sense of responsibility and focus on resolving outstanding issues within their authority, preventing them from being prolonged and affecting project implementation.

Matters beyond their authority must be promptly reported to the Provincial People’s Committee or competent agencies for consideration and resolution.

According to the Department of Finance, 61 projects are being handled under special mechanisms to address violations of land laws committed by organisations and individuals before the 2024 Land Law took effect, as well as difficulties and obstacles affecting long-standing projects under Resolution No. 29/2026/QH16.

The Department of Finance has received proposals for all 61 projects. Of these, forty-six projects have been processed, while the remaining 15 projects are continuing to be reviewed and handled.

For another group of 50 projects under the province’s authority that are not  covered by Resolution No. 29/2026/QH16, the Provincial People’s Committee has issued Plan No. 313/KH-UBND to address related difficulties and obstacles.

To date, 16 of the 50 projects have been resolved, while 34 projects remain under consideration.

Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền asked the Department of Finance to urgently advise the Provincial People’s Committee on matters requiring submission to competent authorities.

It was also tasked with coordinating solutions concerning compensation and site clearance, clearly assigning responsibilities to relevant agencies and localities and ensuring compliance with regulations.

He called on departments, agencies and local authorities to continue reviewing each project, promptly resolve issues within their jurisdiction and report matters beyond their authority for timely action.

The province’s efforts aim to accelerate the handling of long-standing projects, improve the efficiency of land and investment resources, and create more favourable conditions for project implementation and socio-economic development.
