On September 25, in Kon Tum Ward, the 14th Provincial People’s Council for the 2026-2031 term held its 8th session (a thematic session) to consider and decide on matters within its jurisdiction.

The session was chaired by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Đức Tuy, together with Vice Chairpersons Nguyễn Cao Phúc, Nguyễn Thế Hải and Nghe Minh Hồng.
In his opening remarks, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tuy stressed that the session’s agenda covered important and urgent matters directly affecting the implementation of local tasks. He called on deputies to uphold their responsibility, actively discuss the issues and ensure that the resolutions adopted are practical, feasible and effectively implemented.

The Provincial People’s Council considered and adopted 16 resolutions and two reports. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council submitted one report and one resolution, while the Provincial People’s Committee submitted one report and 15 resolutions.
Regarding the resolution on the 2026-2030 medium-term public investment plan funded by the local budget, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tuy said it would serve as a basis for commune-level People’s Councils to decide on their respective medium-term public investment plans.
The council also adopted a resolution on the list of land areas proposed for pilot implementation of commercial housing projects in Quảng Ngãi in 2026. This was the first resolution of its kind adopted by the Provincial People’s Council under National Assembly Resolution No. 171/2024/QH15.
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tuy asked the Provincial People’s Committee to publicize the list of land areas, issue notices approving eligible real estate business organizations to implement pilot projects and carry out subsequent procedures in accordance with regulations.
He also requested the Standing Committee, committees, deputy groups and deputies of the Provincial People’s Council to inform voters and the public of the session’s outcomes and the resolutions adopted, particularly those directly affecting people’s rights, interests and livelihoods.
At the same time, he called for stronger oversight of law enforcement and the implementation of the resolutions, with difficulties and obstacles promptly identified and addressed by competent authorities.

The Provincial People’s Council will hold its 9th session, a thematic session, on October 28, 2026, to consider and decide on a number of important matters within its jurisdiction.
