On September 25, at Ngọc Linh Hall in Kon Tum Ward, the Provincial People’s Council held a conference on the performance of People’s Councils at all levels in 2026 and orientations and tasks for 2027.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Đức Tuy, together with Vice Chairpersons Nguyễn Cao Phúc, Nguyễn Thế Hải and Nghe Minh Hồng, chaired the conference.
In his opening remarks, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tuy said that the province’s socio-economic situation remained stable during the first nine months of 2026, with positive results recorded across various sectors. People’s Councils at all levels contributed to these results by effectively performing their decision-making and functions.

The conference reviewed the performance of People’s Councils at both levels, identified shortcomings and difficulties, and discussed solutions to improve their quality and effectiveness in the coming period.
According to the report, over the first nine months of 2026, the 14th Provincial People’s Council held eight sessions and adopted 136 resolutions. It also conducted 13 supervision and survey activities, making 43 recommendations to address shortcomings and improve the effectiveness of state management.
The Provincial People’s Council received 211 complaints, denunciations, petitions and feedback, of which 210 were processed. It also continued to monitor the implementation of recommendations arising from question-and-answer sessions and the settlement of voters’ petitions.
At the commune level, People’s Councils held 472 sessions and adopted 2,173 resolutions, covering organizational consolidation, socio-economic development, national defense and security, budget management, public investment and national target programs.
In the final three months of 2026, People’s Councils at all levels will focus on improving the quality of sessions, strengthening supervision of the implementation of resolutions and post-supervision recommendations, following up on voters’ petitions, and enhancing citizen reception and petition handling. They will also promote information technology applications and digital transformation in their operations.
At the conference, representatives of communes and wards proposed solutions to improve the performance of People’s Councils, while representatives of relevant departments and agencies clarified issues raised by localities.

In his closing remarks, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tuy said People’s Councils at both levels had proactively stabilized their organizations and maintained operations in accordance with regulations. The quality of sessions, appraisal, supervision and surveys has gradually improved, with greater attention to issues of concern to voters and residents.
He asked commune-level People’s Councils to continue improving their operations, adopt resolutions that closely reflect local realities, and focus on issues of concern to voters and residents. They should also strengthen communication and supervision to ensure that resolutions are effectively implemented.
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tuy also requested improved voter meetings, timely classification and handling of petitions within their authority, and stronger questioning and supervision of pressing issues. He called for continued application of information technology and digital transformation to improve the quality and effectiveness of People’s Councils at all levels.
