The ceremony took place at the tomb of Huỳnh Thúc Kháng on Thiên Ấn Mountain, Trương Quang Trọng Ward, and the historical site of the Headquarters of the South Central Việt Nam Resistance and Administrative Committee.
At his tomb, provincial leaders offered flowers and incense in tribute to Huỳnh Thúc Kháng and his significant contributions to the struggle for national independence and reunification.

Huỳnh Thúc Kháng was born on October 1, 1876, in Thạnh Bình Village, Tiên Giang Thượng Canton, Quảng Nam Province (now Thạnh Bình Commune, Đà Nẵng City). He passed the provincial civil service examination in 1900 and earned his doctoral degree in 1904.
Huỳnh Thúc Kháng devoted himself to patriotic activities, helping launch the Duy Tân movement in Quảng Nam in 1906. Arrested by the French colonial authorities in 1908 and exiled to Côn Đảo, he spent 13 years in detention before returning to public life and founding the Tiếng Dân (People's Voice) newspaper in Huế.
After the August Revolution in 1945, he joined the Government of the Democratic Republic of Việt Nam as Minister of the Interior. In May 1946, he was entrusted with overseeing the Government’s daily affairs while President Hồ Chí Minh was in France. During the nationwide resistance war, he served as the Government’s special envoy to central Việt Nam.
Huỳnh Thúc Kháng passed away in Quảng Ngãi on April 21, 1947, at the age of 70, and was buried on Thiên Ấn Mountain in accordance with his wishes.
In a letter to the Vietnamese people following his death, President Hồ Chí Minh described Huỳnh Thúc Kháng as a great patriot with broad learning, strong will and high moral character.
Following the ceremony at his tomb, provincial leaders offered flowers and incense at the historical site of the Headquarters of the South Central Việt Nam Resistance and Administrative Committee in Nghĩa Hành Commune and visited its exhibition house, which preserves documents and artifacts associated with his life and career.

On the same day, a delegation from Đà Nẵng City, led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyễn Đức Dũng, also paid tribute to Huỳnh Thúc Kháng at the two historical sites.
