During the period, the province implemented various measures to support production, diversify livelihoods, provide vocational training, create jobs, expand access to policy credit and ensure social welfare.
A total of 161 projects supported 2,678 households, with funding exceeding VNĐ90 billion. Nearly 12,000 jobs were created, including more than 3,200 for members of poor and near-poor households. The province also sent 1,048 workers abroad under labor contracts, achieving 80.6 per cent of the annual target.
Policy credit and social welfare programs continued to support poor households in production, employment, healthcare, housing and access to clean water and information.
All members of poor and near-poor households have been issued health insurance cards. As a result, living conditions have gradually improved, and the provincial poverty rate is expected to fall to 1.47 per cent in 2026, meeting the set target.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Đỗ Tâm Hiển stressed that poverty reduction is an important socio-economic target requiring coordinated and decisive action. He instructed departments and localities to review and verify poor and near-poor household data accurately, transparently and on schedule, ensuring no eligible households are overlooked.

He also called for stronger coordination and supervision, faster implementation of livelihood support projects and disbursement of allocated funds. Assistance should reflect each household’s actual needs, with a focus on vocational training, employment, access to loans and sustainable livelihoods to increase incomes and prevent households from falling back into poverty.
He emphasized that sustainable poverty reduction must remain a long-term priority, requiring practical solutions to further reduce poverty, make effective use of support resources and strengthen people’s capacity to improve their own livelihoods and living standards.
