QUẢNG NGÃI — Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Đức Tâm chaired a meeting with businesses and investors on October 1 to listen to their concerns and address difficulties affecting production, business operations and investment projects in the province.
The meeting was attended by Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Y Ngọc, Vice Chairmen Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm and Đỗ Tâm Hiển, leaders of provincial departments and agencies, local authorities, business associations, enterprises and investors.
According to the provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre, 35 proposals from 16 businesses and business groups were submitted for discussion.

Representatives of the businesses present their proposals.
About half of the proposals involved longstanding issues, mainly related to land and project legal procedures, land-related financial obligations and taxes, compensation and site clearance, resettlement, and construction material supplies.
Since the beginning of 2026, the centre has monitored and urged the settlement of 149 proposals from 56 businesses, investors and organisations, including 106 proposals received in 2026 and 43 carried over from 2025.
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm said Quảng Ngãi targets 9 per cent economic growth in 2026 and aims for double-digit growth during 2026–2030.
He stressed that mobilising resources from the business community is important to achieving these targets.
He asked businesses and investors to clearly identify issues that are directly affecting their operations and project implementation, while also taking responsibility for matters within their own authority.
For provincial departments, agencies and local authorities, the Chairman instructed them to address each proposal according to its specific nature.
Issues within their authority and with sufficient legal grounds should be resolved promptly with a clear deadline.
Matters requiring coordination must identify the lead agency, specific tasks and completion time.
Issues beyond authority or not permitted under current regulations must be clearly explained.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyễn Đức Tâm delivers the concluding remarks at the working session.
Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm also requested heads of departments, agencies and local authorities to take direct responsibility for assigned tasks and report the reasons for any proposals that remain unresolved after the specified deadlines.
He emphasised that the effectiveness of the meeting should not be measured by the number of proposals received, but by whether each issue is clearly assigned to a responsible agency, with specific actions and deadlines.
The province aims to use this approach to remove investment and production bottlenecks, improve the business environment and create more favourable conditions for enterprises and investors to expand their operations in Quảng Ngãi.
