The project has a total investment of more than VNĐ183 billion, including VNĐ180 billion from the central budget and VNĐ3.5 billion from the local budget. It involves over 7 km of embankments along both riverbanks, aimed at improving flood drainage, preventing erosion and protecting residents, property and farmland.

According to the commune authorities, the eastern-bank embankment has reached approximately 96 per cent completion and is expected to be handed over for use in November 2026. Construction on the western-bank section has reached around 15 per cent. All land required for the project has been handed over, with no outstanding clearance issues or land disputes.

He also requested that the eastern-bank embankment undergo technical inspection and be handed over for use within 2026, while the western-bank section should be completed in 2027 to ensure the project delivers its full intended benefits.
