Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Vice Chairman paid a courtesy visit to Korean agencies and organizations

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Phien affirmed that over the years, Quang Ngai province has always focused on preserving and developing the good friendly and cooperative relationship between the province and Korean partners on the basis of the diplomatic relations between the two countries of Viet Nam - RoK and the province always creates favorable conditions for Korean investors to implement their investment projects in Quang Ngai province. He also pledged to make every effort to effectively support and contribute to expand cooperation, exchange and strengthen the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Quang Ngai province and Korean partners. In addition, Quang Ngai province will constantly actively support Korean businesses to effectively implement their investment projects in Quang Ngai province. He also expects that the RoK Embassy and agencies and organizations will continue to pay attention to carrying out more and more diverse and effective cooperation activities in Quang Ngai province, contributing to the success of the strategic and cooperative partnership between the two countries Vietnam - Korea and now being elevated  into a "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" which has recently been approved by the State Governments of the two nations on the occasion of Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc's visit to RoK on December 5, 2022, bringing and strongly developing the friendly cooperation between the two countries to a new page and a new height.

          RoK is currently the largest investor in Quang Ngai with 15 valid projects with a total registered capital of about 417 million USD. Korean enterprises account for more than 23% of the total value of industrial production, 8% export turnover, 12% import turnover out of total FDI enterprises and contribute more than 320 billion VND (equivalent to 13 million USD) to the provincial budget thus creating jobs for about 2,400 employees.

          Among 15 Korean enterprises implementing business investment in the province, Doosan Enerbility Vietnam, formerly known as Doosan Vina, is the earliest Korean investor in Quang Ngai with the Doosan Vina Heavy Industry Factory Project with an investment capital of about 300 million USD. This factory was built with an area of over 100 hectares, specializing in the production of heavy industrial equipment such as boilers, lifting equipment systems and desalination equipment systems. Up to now, the factory has been put into production and operation effectively, and it has brought many socio-economic benefits and creating jobs for about 1,565 employees. The factory's first "Made in Vietnam" heavy industrial product has been brought to the world market and contributed significantly to the local budget revenue. Over the years, this enterprise has also joined hands with local authorities to implement numerous effective community and social security activities throughout the province.

          The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also informed the Korean agencies and organizations about the series of events and activities recently held successfully in Quang Ngai province on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and the RoK. He emphasized that Quang Ngai province always appreciate the importance of friendship, partnership and cooperation with Korean agencies, organizations and businesses. The fact that more and more projects invested by Korean enterprises have been implemented effectively in Quang Ngai has been and will continue to demonstrate the great success of the international partnership and cooperation between Quang Ngai province and RoK partners./.
