On March 4, the Department of Agriculture and Environment held a conference to announce personnel decisions of agencies and units under the department.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Phuoc Hien, attended the conference and presented the decisions issued by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The Department's responsibilities encompass various areas, including land management, water resources, mineral and geological resources, environmental protection, solid waste management, hydrometeorology, climate change, surveying and mapping, integrated management of seas and islands, agriculture, forestry, salt production, fisheries, irrigation, rural development, and natural disaster prevention and control. Additionally, the Department is involved in poverty reduction efforts as stipulated by law.
During the conference, several appointments were announced: Mr. Do Van Chung was appointed as the Head of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine; Mr. Vo Doan was appointed as the Head of the Department of Irrigation; Mr. Pham Ba was appointed as the Head of the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection; Mr. Dinh Trong Thanh was appointed as the Head of the Department of Environmental Protection; Mr. Pham Duy Hung was appointed as the Head of the Department of Forestry; and Mr. Vo Van Hai was appointed as the Head of the Department of Fisheries and Islands.
In his remarks at the conference, Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Hien emphasized that the newly established agencies have expanded functions and responsibilities.
He urged the staff—including cadres, civil servants, and employees in the departments and units under the Department of Agriculture and Environment—to promote solidarity and unity within the organization.
He encouraged them to overcome challenges, stabilize the organization promptly, and carry out essential tasks efficiently, ensuring that all work is completed on time and to high standards.
