Under the theme “Gender Equality in Employment and Production – A Driver of Economic Growth and Social Progress and Equity,” the campaign aims to raise public awareness, promote equal opportunities and mobilize collective action to prevent violence against women and children.
Activities will include a provincial launch ceremony, expected from November 16 to 20 in coordination with the Việt Nam Women’s Union, alongside media campaigns across newspapers, television, websites and digital platforms.
Seminars, forums, training sessions and cultural and sports activities will promote gender equality, women’s economic empowerment and skills to prevent and respond to violence and sexual harassment.
The plan also prioritizes support for vulnerable women and children and victims of violence, trafficking and abuse through scholarships, livelihood assistance, hotlines, safe shelters, medical care, psychological counseling and legal aid.
Authorities will strengthen inspections, monitor implementation and strictly handle violations involving gender discrimination and gender-based violence.
The Department of Home Affairs will lead implementation, coordinate relevant agencies and localities, and report results to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Provincial People’s Committee before December 25, 2026.
Other departments, the Provincial Police, media agencies, the Women’s Union, local authorities and socio-political organizations will coordinate communications, protection and support efforts to advance gender equality and prevent violence.
