Homestay Program 2023 for Laotian students

Recently, Quang Ngai provincial Department of Foreign Affairs coordinated with universities and colleges in the province to organize the Homestay Program 2023 for Laotian students studying in the province.
32 Laotian students studying at Pham Van Dong University, University of Finance and Accounting, Quang Ngai College and Dang Thuy Tram Medical College had a visit and experience in Binh Thanh community tourism village, Hanh Nhan commune, Nghia Hanh district.
In this village, Laotian students visited fruit trees gardens such as durian, tangerine, orange, golden apple, jackfruit, pomelo; learned the way to make Vietnamese traditional cakes such as Su Se cake, Tet cake, Chung cake, Bot Loc cake, rice cake; the way to make pruning fruits from vegetables, fruits, ... from local people.
In addition, these students participated in the processing of local traditional dishes: Jackfruit salad, pancakes, grilled fish, cooked corn, cooked noodles and sticky rice cakes. They enjoyed local traditional cuisine (buffet) and cultural exchange between the delegation and local people.
During this experience, leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs and representatives of Nghia Hanh District People's Committee, Hanh Nhan Commune People's Committee planted 11 flower trees along the road of Binh Thanh village, contributing to the beauty of the village of Hanh Nhan commune, Nghia Hanh district.
Besides, Laotian students visited the ancient vestige of Lam Son village and the Vietnamese heritage tree, Lam Son ancient pagoda.
Homestay 2023 program has created opportunities for Laotian students to practice Vietnamese language skills, exchange languages and learn about Vietnamese historical traditions and cultural identities for Laotian students, contributing to promoting people-to-people diplomacy.
