Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Cao Phúc and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm attended a ceremony on October 2 marking the 10th anniversary of the Quảng Ngãi Hospital for Mothers and Children (2016-2026).

Over the past decade, the hospital has expanded from 300 to 650 patient beds, with 30 departments and more than 600 staff. It has developed advanced techniques in obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care and assisted reproduction.
Since 2020, the hospital has successfully performed complex assisted reproduction procedures and partnered with Từ Dũ Hospital to develop in-vitro fertilization (IVF), with plans to operate an IVF center at the hospital.

For seven consecutive years, the hospital has been rated among the province’s leading medical facilities under the Ministry of Health’s hospital quality criteria. It is also accelerating digital transformation, gradually eliminating paper records and improving services for patients.
By 2030, the hospital aims to become a Grade-I specialized hospital with 1,000 patient beds.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm praised the hospital’s achievements and contributions to improving healthcare services in the province. He urged the hospital to strengthen professional capacity and management, develop high-quality human resources, mobilize investment in facilities and equipment, and expand advanced medical techniques.
He also called for a professional, patient-centered healthcare environment, with greater attention to medical expertise, service attitude, responsibility and professional ethics.
The hospital’s leader receives a Certificate of Merit from the PPC’s Chairman
On the occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee presented a Certificate of Merit to the hospital in recognition of its achievements. The Provincial Federation of Labor and the Department of Health also honored the hospital’s collectives and individuals for their contributions to its development.
