The Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee has issued Plan No. 639/KH-UBND to launch the 2026 Action Month for Gender Equality and the Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence across the province.
The campaign aims to promote widespread public awareness and reaffirm the strong political commitment of the Party and State to achieving gender equality. It also seeks to encourage the active participation and responsibility of government agencies, organisations, businesses, families and the wider community in implementing practical and effective measures to advance gender equality and prevent gender-based violence.
The plan focuses on promoting legal awareness and education on gender equality, while highlighting the contributions and potential of people of all genders in employment, production and economic development, as well as social welfare. It also aims to ensure equal opportunities for everyone to contribute to and benefit from socio-economic development.
In addition, the campaign calls for greater mobilisation of social resources and concrete action to reduce and ultimately eliminate violence and abuse against women and children, while fostering safe, equal, civilised and happy living and working environments.
Under the theme “Gender Equality in Labour and Production – A Driving Force for Economic Growth, Social Progress and Equity”, the campaign will run from November 15 to December 15, 2026.
