On August 17, State Audit Office Region III, in coordination with the Provincial People’s Committee, held a conference to announce the audit decision and launch the planned audit in Quảng Ngãi.

The conference was attended by Vương Nguyên Lượng, State Auditor General of State Audit Office Region III; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Cao Phúc; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm; and representatives of relevant departments, agencies, units and localities.
The audit will focus on the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for 2021-2025 in Quảng Ngãi; the management and use of non-business funds for road-related economic activities during 2023-2025; and the construction, management and use of investment capital for the Hoàng Sa - Dốc Sỏi Road Project.

Vương Nguyên Lượng said the audit is a regular, planned activity aimed at verifying the accuracy and reasonableness of expenditure data, while assessing legal compliance and the effectiveness and efficiency of public finance and asset management. It will also identify shortcomings and recommend corrective measures, as well as improvements to relevant mechanisms and policies, helping ensure that public financial and asset resources are used economically and efficiently.
To facilitate the audit, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Ngọc Sâm asked relevant agencies, units and localities to urgently review, prepare and provide complete and timely documents, records and data as requested by the audit team. He also called on them to proactively coordinate with and facilitate the team’s work to ensure the audit is completed with quality and on schedule.
