QUẢNG NGÃI — Quảng Ngãi launched a youth movement to promote environmental protection and mobilized volunteers for the fourth Green Sunday campaign of 2026 at Phạm Văn Đồng Square in Cẩm Thành Ward on September 20.
The event was attended by Nguyễn Đức Tâm, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, along with representatives of provincial agencies, the Youth Union and approximately 550 youth union members and young people.
The programme, organized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union, aimed to raise public awareness and promote a sense of responsibility for environmental protection while encouraging young people to take practical action towards building a greener, cleaner and more sustainable Quảng Ngãi.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tâm praised the Youth Union’s initiative and the enthusiasm of local young people.
He called for the movement to become a regular and practical activity rather than remain limited to a single launch ceremony or campaign day.
He urged Quảng Ngãi’s youth to take the lead in environmental protection by establishing self-managed youth roads, planting trees, cleaning beaches and properly sorting waste.
These activities should help make environmental protection a regular part of daily life in households and communities.
Following the ceremony, youth union members simultaneously launched environmental sanitation activities, collecting waste, clearing vegetation and improving public spaces.
At the event, four waste bins and 10 environmentally friendly shopping baskets were presented to Residential Group 8 in Cẩm Thành Ward.
