Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Trần Phước Hiền chairs the meeting
QUẢNG NGÃI — Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Trần Phước Hiền chaired a regular meeting on September 21 to review the implementation of Politburo Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền acknowledged the efforts of departments, agencies and localities in carrying out assigned tasks, particularly the disbursement of allocated funds.
He requested agencies and units with low disbursement rates to urgently review the causes, assess implementation progress and establish specific completion deadlines for each task.
They were also asked to develop solutions and submit reports to the Department of Science and Technology for consolidation and submission to the Provincial People’s Committee.
The Vice Chairman instructed departments, sectors and localities to continue reviewing the progress of individual tasks and proactively address difficulties arising during implementation.
He also stressed the importance of stronger coordination, ensuring that funding is used for its intended purposes and that allocated resources are utilised effectively. Agencies were asked to focus on completing disbursement in line with the approved plan.
In addition, departments, agencies and localities were requested to urgently prepare plans and budget estimates for implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW in 2027. The process must comply with current regulations and spending norms, while prioritising key tasks to ensure the effective use of resources.
According to a report by the Department of Science and Technology, in 2026, more than VNĐ213.7 billion was allocated to 18 provincial departments and agencies for tasks related to science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
The entire allocated amount has been distributed to the relevant departments and agencies. As of August 31, total disbursement had reached VNĐ65.8 billion.
The meeting highlighted the need for agencies and localities to maintain close coordination, accelerate implementation and ensure that Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW is carried out effectively across the province.
