QUẢNG NGÃI — Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng on December 23 chaired a meeting with the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and relevant departments, sectors and local authorities to review progress of the road project linking Thạch Bích Bridge with Tịnh Phong.

The Thạch Bích–Tịnh Phong road project is invested by the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.

The route is 6.11km long and runs through Trương Quang Trọng Ward and Thọ Phong Commune.

To date, site clearance has reached 61 per cent of the total route length, including 82 per cent in Trương Quang Trọng Ward and 39.5 per cent in Thọ Phong Commune.

In the coming period, agencies and units will continue to accelerate construction on sections where land has been handed over.

Disbursement is expected to reach 62 per cent of the assigned capital plan by December 31, 2025.

However, the project is still facing difficulties in site clearance. Outstanding obstacles remain along 0.52km in Trương Quang Trọng Ward and 1.85km in Thọ Phong Commune, while one resettlement area has yet to complete land clearance.

At the meeting, representatives of departments, sectors and localities discussed and proposed solutions to speed up compensation, site clearance and construction, contributing to improved implementation progress and higher public investment disbursement.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Công Hoàng asked the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board and related units to strengthen coordination and promptly address difficulties in site clearance, ensure early handover of land to investors, and accelerate construction in line with the approved schedule.

He also requested Trương Quang Trọng Ward and Thọ Phong Commune to closely coordinate with the Provincial Land Fund Development Centre and the project management board to urgently review compensation plans and ensure approval progress as planned.

For compensation plans that have been prepared and appraised and fully ensure residents’ legitimate rights, authorities were urged to approve them promptly, organise payments, carry out land recovery and hand over sites to construction units.

For land plots eligible for resettlement, investors and local authorities were asked to quickly organise land allocation at resettlement areas for affected households to facilitate project implementation.

The Provincial Land Fund Development Centre was requested to focus on preparing and submitting compensation, support and resettlement plans for approval.

All remaining compensation plans must be prepared, appraised, approved, paid and land recovered in accordance with regulations before December 31, 2025.
