On January 8, Đỗ Tâm Hiển, Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee, led a delegation to conduct on-site inspections of a proposed commercial housing project in Vạn Tường New Urban Area (Vạn Tường Commune) and the domestic water supply system project in Châu Thuận Nông, Châu Thuận Biển and Châu Thuận Tây villages (Đông Sơn Commune).
At the proposed commercial housing project site in Vạn Tường New Urban Area, the Vice Chairman noted that progress had been prolonged and failed to meet requirements. The site covers 8.6 hectares, originally planned for social housing, of which about 7.6 hectares have been cleared. The remaining nearly one hectare, although subject to land acquisition and compensation decisions, remains entangled in disputes.
Hiển assigned the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, in coordination with the Dung Quất Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Authority, Vạn Tường Commune and relevant departments, to study and propose solutions for submission to the Provincial People’s Committee, aiming to promptly put the cleared land into use and avoid waste.
Regarding the domestic water supply system project in Châu Thuận Nông, Châu Thuận Biển and Châu Thuận Tây villages (Đông Sơn Commune), after on-site inspection and reviewing reports, the Vice Chairman agreed with the proposal to consider suspending the project. The suspension is intended to avoid overlap with replacement projects expected to be implemented in the near future.
