On January 6, Deputy Secretary of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Đức Tuy, hosted a reception for a delegation of the Salavan Provincial People’s Council (Lao PDR) led by Sĩ-hêng Hỏm-sổm-bắt, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Constituency No.14 and Chairman of the Salavan Provincial People’s Council, on the occasion of the upcoming Vietnamese Lunar New Year 2026.
At the meeting, Chairman Sĩ-hêng Hỏm-sổm-bắt expressed his appreciation for the warm and respectful reception by Quảng Ngãi leaders, affirming the growing friendship and cooperation between Việt Nam and Laos, particularly between Quảng Ngãi and Salavan.
He wished the Party organization, authorities, and people of Quảng Ngãi a joyful and prosperous Lunar New Year, and voiced his hope for expanded cooperation in areas of shared strengths.
He also briefed participants on Salavan’s socio-economic development and extended an invitation for Quảng Ngãi leaders to visit Salavan during Bunpimay Festival in April 2026.
Welcoming the delegation, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tuy highlighted Quảng Ngãi’s socio-economic achievements and the effective operation of the two-level local government model. He reaffirmed the province’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Salavan and southern Lao provinces, contributing to the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Việt Nam and Laos.
On the occasion of the New Year 2026, Chairman Nguyễn Đức Tuy conveyed his best wishes for health, happiness, and success to Chairman Sĩ-hêng Hỏm-sổm-bắt, the leaders, and people of Salavan Province, and expressed confidence that the Quảng Ngãi - Salavan relationship would continue to grow sustainably and enduringly.
