On January 6, Y Ngọc, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee, inspected preparations for the repair and renovation of the Phạm Văn Đồng Prime Minister Memorial Site in Mộ Đức Commune, in preparation for the 120th anniversary of Prime Minister Phạm Văn Đồng’s birth (March 1, 1906 – March 1, 2026).
Y Ngọc stressed that the renovation is a meaningful tribute to Prime Minister Phạm Văn Đồng, an outstanding leader of the Party and the State and a distinguished son of Quảng Ngãi Province.
She requested the Provincial Project Management Board to coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promptly complete required procedures, ensuring preservation of original values, solemnity, quality, and aesthetic standards to serve the commemorative ceremony in 2026.
The Memorial Site Management Board was tasked with improving landscaping, maintaining a green, clean, and orderly environment, and ensuring security and sanitation to welcome visitors, especially during Lunar New Year 2026.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism was also assigned to strengthen communication on the life and contributions of Prime Minister Phạm Văn Đồng, promote the memorial site’s historical and cultural value, and finalize the plan for the anniversary ceremony for submission to the Provincial People’s Committee.
