PPC’s Chairman works with Đăk Pék, Đăk Môn, Đăk Long, Đăk Plô, Xốp and Ngọc Linh Communes

On December 23, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang chaired a working session with the communes of Đăk Pék, Đăk Môn, Đăk Long, Đăk Plô, Xốp and Ngọc Linh to review socio-economic development, national defense and security in 2025, and to outline key tasks for 2026.

The meeting was attended by Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc and representatives of relevant departments and localities.

In 2025, the communes made notable progress in public investment disbursement, administrative reform and land database completion. Disbursement rates reached 70 per cent in Đăk Pék, 93.5 per cent in Đăk Môn, 93 per cent in Đăk Long, 79 per cent in Đăk Plô, 81 per cent in Xốp and 66 per cent in Ngọc Linh.

The New Rural Development Program continued to advance, with Đăk Pék meeting new rural standards and other communes steadily completing criteria.

Education, healthcare, social welfare and the elimination of temporary housing were effectively implemented, while defense, security and social order were maintained.

Localities also reported difficulties and proposed provincial support for infrastructure investment, transport upgrades and school repairs.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang commended local efforts and requested communes to promptly address storm-related infrastructure damage, accelerate the “Quang Trung Campaign” to rebuild disaster-affected houses, and implement planned boarding school projects in border areas.

He emphasized agricultural restructuring toward key crops such as coffee, medicinal herbs and Ngọc Linh ginseng, linked with processing and stable consumption, and called for stronger coordination between provincial departments and local authorities.

On this occasion, the Chairman presented gifts to communes and disadvantaged students, supported funding for seedlings, and acknowledged contributions from Viettel Group in assisting housing and agricultural development.
