On December 22, at Tu Mơ Rông Commune, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang chaired a meeting with Tu Mơ Rông, Măng Ri, Đăk Sao and Đăk Tờ Kan communes. Standing Vice Chairwoman Y Ngọc and leaders of relevant departments and agencies attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed socio-economic development and national defense and security tasks in 2025, and outlined key tasks for 2026.
In 2025, socio-economic conditions in the communes remained stable, with many targets met or exceeded. The total value of products in all communes increased compared to 2024, led by Măng Ri Commune (7.1 per cent), followed by Tu Mơ Rông (6.9 per cent), and Đăk Sao and Đăk Tờ Kan (both 6.4 per cent).
The economic structure continued to shift in a positive direction, with a growing share of industry, construction and services.
Several communes recorded notable budget revenue results, including Đăk Sao, which exceeded the provincial estimate by over 149 per cent, and Đăk Tờ Kan 100 per cent of the assigned target.

Leaders of communes report at the meeting
Public investment disbursement reached 94 per cent in Đăk Tờ Kan, 74 per cent in Đăk Sao and 70 per cent in Tu Mơ Rông, while Măng Ri remained relatively low.
Land management, natural resources and environmental protection were strengthened. All communes completed the development and standardization of land databases to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency in line with the two-tier local government model.
Disaster prevention and response plans were proactively implemented under the “four-on-the-spot” principle; however, natural disasters still caused significant damage in some localities, particularly Đăk Sao and Đăk Tờ Kan. In response, these communes actively implemented the “Quang Trung Campaign” to rapidly repair and rebuild houses for affected households.
Social sectors recorded positive progress, with improvements in education quality, healthcare, disease prevention, and timely implementation of social welfare and policies for people with meritorious services.
The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses was completed as planned.
Administrative reform, internal affairs, anti-corruption efforts, and national defense and security were strengthened, while social order and safety were maintained.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang praised local authorities for their sense of responsibility and efforts in overcoming difficulties and achieving positive results.

In 2026, the PPC’s Chairman emphasized focusing on developing key agricultural products, particularly Ngọc Linh ginseng and other medicinal herbs, through the application of science and technology across the entire value chain from conservation and cultivation to processing and traceability to enhance value, quality and sustainability.
He also called for promoting eco-tourism and cultural tourism, developing community-based tourism products, and continuing to effectively implement ethnic and social policies, especially support for ethnic minorities and disadvantaged households, contributing to sustainable development and improved livelihoods in the region.
