Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Bui Thi Quynh Van, on April 5th, led a delegation to the Lao Consulate General in Da Nang to pay respects to Khamtay Siphandone, former President of Laos, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, who had passed away.
In her condolence message, Van expressed deep sorrow for his passing and extended condolences to the Lao government and people.
She praised Siphandone for his outstanding leadership and significant contributions to the revolutionary cause, Laos' development, and the strong Vietnam-Laos friendship.
She also highlighted his key role in fostering cooperation between the two countries and their localities, including Quang Ngai Province and southern Laos.
Souphanh Hadaoheuang, the Lao Consul General in Da Nang, thanked the Vietnamese Party, State, and people, especially those from Quang Ngai, for their heartfelt condolences and support.
