Conference of the 20th Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025 to give opinions on a number of contents within their authority was held on December 25.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing, analyzing, evaluating the results and giving opinions on the summary report on the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee.
Reportedly, since the implementation of Resolution 18, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has focused on leading and directing Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, units, and localities to basically complete the goals and targets set for the 2018-2024 period.
The province has reduced 1 district-level administrative unit by merging Tay Tra district into Tra Bong district, and 14 commune-level administrative units.
It also reduced 202 villages and residential groups and 1,762 part-timevillage and residential group workers.
The Provincial Party Standing Committee has directed the effective implementation of the reduction of the number of commune-level cadres, civil servants, and part-time workers at the commune level.
Compared to 2017, the number of commune-level cadres and civil servants assigned by competent authorities decreased by 592 positions.
The province also reduced 2 agencies and units, 94 departments and equivalent units under provincial and district-level agencies and units, 7 sub-departments under the departments and 41 divisions under the sub-departments.
The conference also voted to approve the following projects: the establishment of the Party Committee of the Provincial Party, Mass Organizations, People's Council, and Judiciary, the establishment of the Party Committee of the Provincial Government, the decision on transferring Party organizations and Party members, and the Decision on ending the activities of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises.
It also gave opinions on the Project on ending the activities of the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the Project on establishing the Provincial Ethnic and Religious Committee, etc.
Concluding the conference, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Bui Thi Quynh Van emphasized that through summarizing Resolution 18 and Conclusion 09 of the Central Steering Committee on organizational restructuring, some shortcomings and limitations were recognized.
The Provincial Party Secretary noted that in implementing the approved reorganization projects, in the coming time, Party committees, Party organizations, agencies and units need to closely follow the directions and instructions of the Central Government.
Based on the practical situation of the locality, they will carry out the reorganization and streamlining of the apparatus appropriately, ensuring that after the reorganization, the agencies and units will operate better.
Localities, departments, and agencies need to closely follow the contents of the central and provincial Party Committee's plans and correctly assess the actual situation to implement the assigned tasks, ensuring progress and quality.
The Provincial Party Secretary also requested relevant agencies, units, localities and press agencies to do a good job of information, propaganda , and orientation of public opinion, creating high unity within the Party Committee and the entire political system, and consensus among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life on policies, goals, requirements and tasks of streamlining the organizational apparatus in the political system.
