On April 21, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the fourth Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025, and displayed books to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - 2025). Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trần Hoàng Tuấn attended the event.
Opening Ceremony of Book and Reading Culture Day
The Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 in the province takes place at the Provincial General Library from April 21 to April 23, 2025, with the theme "Reading - Enriching knowledge, nurturing aspirations, promoting innovation and creativity", with many activities aiming at promoting reading culture while spreading the values of books and reading to all social classes in the province.
Delegates and visitors could access original, unique documents currently being kept and preserved at the Provincial General Library.
This annual event encourages and fosters the reading movement, creates a favourable reading environment, and cultivates reading habits within families, schools, institutions, organisations, and communities.
It also honors individuals and organisations that contribute to the development of books and reading culture, thus helping to establish Vietnam's cultural values and human standards.
At the Opening Ceremony, three excellent teams of the Book Cover Design Contest showed their book cover presentations, including: Pham Van Dong University (First prize), Vo Nguyen Giap High School (Second prize), and Le Khiet High School for the Gifted (Third prize).

On this occasion, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trần Hoàng Tuấn awarded Certificates of Merit from the PPC’s Chairman to collectives and individuals who have made positive contributions to developing reading culture in the province.
