On June 20, the Steering Committee for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Quảng Ngãi province held a conference to summarize the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Quảng Ngãi province in 2025.

Reporting at the Conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trần Hoàng Tuấn said that as of June 20, 2025, Quảng Ngãi province had completed the construction and repair of more than 6,331 houses for poor and near-poor households, reaching 100 per cent of the plan, two months earlier than the direction of the Prime Minister.
The total cost of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is more than VNĐ 319.14 billion, including more than VNĐ 261.57 billion from the state budget and VNĐ 57.56 billion from organizations, individuals, and enterprises.
During the Program’s implementation, Quảng Ngãi province has strongly mobilized volunteer forces. The Youth Union organized more than 110 volunteer youth teams, mobilized social resources to build new houses and repair 21 houses with a total cost of more than VNĐ 888 million.
The Provincial Military Command established 18 working groups, built eight comrades’ houses, 19 gratitude houses, and mobilized the participation of more than 4,850 officers and soldiers with more than 44,150 working days.

Propaganda work has been carried out regularly and continuously, contributing to raising awareness, arousing the sense of responsibility and cooperation of the entire political system and the people.
Speaking at the Conference, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân, acknowledged and expressed her thanks for the sense of responsibility and the efforts of all levels, sectors, political and social organizations, armed forces, enterprises, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province, along with the consensus of the people in the implementation process of the Program.
Vân emphasized that the launching ceremony of the Movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" on November 28, 2024, has spread the profound humanistic meaning of the program. This is not only the concretization of the great policy of the Party and State but also a command from the heart, demonstrating the responsibility and affection of the entire political system towards the people.
The provincial Secretary acknowledged the great efforts, determination, and participation of the entire political system, leaders, and authorities at all levels, the companionship and joint efforts of the business community, organizations, individuals, and philanthropists.
From July 1, 2025, the province will implement a two-tier local government model. Secretary Bùi Thị Quỳnh suggested that after the merger, localities continue to pay attention to supporting livelihoods, organizing production, and taking care of people's lives.
