Tribute Paid to fallen Heroes on 60th Anniversary of Ba Gia Victory

A solemn incense offering ceremony on May 31 was held at the Ba Gia Victory Historical Site in Sơn Tịnh Commune, Sơn Tịnh District, Quảng Ngãi Province, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Ba Gia Victory (May 31, 1965 – May 31, 2025).

The ceremony was attended by senior central and local leaders, including Senior Lieutenant General Trần Quang Phương, Member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Lieutenant General Thái Đại Ngọc, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Việt Nam People’s Army; Lieutenant General Trương Thiên Tô, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army; Colonel Lương Đình Chung, Political Commissar of Military Region 5 and former Political Commissar of Regiment 1 (Ba Gia); and Lieutenant General Trịnh Đình Thạch, former Political Commissar of Military Region 5.

Provincial leaders in attendance included Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Đặng Ngọc Huy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Quảng Ngãi Delegation to the National Assembly; Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Đinh Thị Hồng Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; along with members of the Provincial Standing Committee, former provincial leaders, former commanders of the Provincial Military Command, and representatives from various departments and localities.

Participants solemnly offered incense and flowers in remembrance of the heroic martyrs and local people who bravely fought and sacrificed their lives to achieve the historic Ba Gia Victory.

A minute of silence was observed to honor their valor and enduring legacy.
