By 2030, per capita income in rural areas will increase by at least 2.5 times compared to 2020.

There will be no more poor households according to the multidimensional poverty line for the 2022-2025 period.

The country will have at least 80 per cent of communes meeting new rural standards, with at least 35 per cent of communes achieving advanced new rural standards.

Approximately 6-8 out of 34 provincial-level units will be recognized as completing the goal of building a modern new rural area.

Quảng Ngãi with important recommendations

PPC’s Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang speaks at the conference

Quảng Ngãi currently has 98 out of 144 communes meeting new rural standards, of which 12 communes meet advanced new rural standards.

It is expected that the rate of poor households according to the multidimensional poverty line in the period of 2022-2025 of the province will decrease from 9.11 per cent to 2.09 per cent by the end of 2025.

At the conference, Quảng Ngãi provincial leader pointed out difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing the Program, affecting the interests of the people.

To effectively implement the Programs in the coming time, the PPC’s Chairman proposed the Prime Minister to soon promulgate a set of new rural criteria for the 2026-2035 period.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment should promulgate guidelines on the principles of determining the level of meeting the new rural standards of communes after the merger.
