A ceremony to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925) took place in Quảng Ngãi on June 20.

At the ceremony, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân, delivered a speech reviewing the glorious traditions, great contributions, and noble missions of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in the past 100 years.
She stated that Quảng Ngãi Revolutionary Press was present very early and made an important contribution to the history of the Vietnamese revolution.
Quảng Ngãi Newspaper and Quảng Ngãi Radio and Television Station were established on July 1, 1989.
On May 19, 2025, Quảng Ngãi Newspaper and the Quảng Ngãi Radio and Television Station merged under the name Quảng Ngãi Newspaper.
By July 1, 2025, Quảng Ngãi Newspaper and Kon Tum Provincial Communication Center will merge with the new name Quảng Ngãi Newspaper and Radio, Television.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bùi Thị Quỳnh Vân affirmed that over 100 years of development, Vietnam's revolutionary press has become an effective and reliable tool of the Party and the State in the construction and defense of the Fatherland, contributing to building the spiritual foundation of society.
Journalists and press agencies in Quảng Ngãi province not only do a good job of information and propaganda but also actively participate in social activities. The provincial press has promptly reflected the thoughts and aspirations of the people, discovered and encouraged positive factors, and advanced typical models, she added.

Vân suggested that the Quảng Ngãi press continue to affirm its key role in providing information and propaganda of the Party's guidelines and the State’s policies and laws.
Besides, the province’s press should continue to fulfill its noble mission of fostering trust, building consensus, and spreading the aspiration for development, thereby contributing to the realization of the goal of building a strong, prosperous, and happy Việt Nam in the new era, she noted.
On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 31 individuals who have made outstanding achievements in journalistic activities on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Việt Nam Revolutionary Press Day (21/6/1925 – 2025).

Also at the ceremony, the Organizing Board of the 17th Provincial Press Award 2025 reviewed and awarded 30 best works, including one Special Prize, four A prizes, eight B prizes, seven C prizes, and 10 Consolation Prizes.
