Statistics from the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions showed that after nearly six months of launching the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area, the whole province has so far supported the construction and repair of 5,222 out of 6,628 houses, achieving nearly 79 per cent of the plan.
The provincial Police supports poor households
Through various programs and funding sources, Quảng Ngãi has promoted the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, helping people with housing difficulties have stable housing.
The National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction has supported 722 houses, with 343 completed houses and 379 houses under construction.
The National Target Program for Economic and Social Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas has implemented 620 houses, with 179 completed houses and 441 houses under construction.
Particularly, the housing support program for people with revolutionary contributions and martyrs' relatives has implemented 1,131 houses, including 653 completed houses and 478 houses under construction.
Especially, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households has achieved the highest rate of over 94 per cent, with 2,749 houses.
Quảng Ngãi province is focusing on completing the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before August 30, 2025.
It is known that Quảng Ngãi has over 6,600 households in need of support to rebuild or repair houses. The total implementation cost is nearly VNĐ 330 billion.
