Quang Ngai starts construction of an industrial park project with a capital of nearly 3,800 billion VND.
National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man, on March 12, attended the groundbreaking ceremony of VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park Project in Binh Hiep Commune, Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province.
The VSIP II Quang Ngai (phase 1), was approved by the Prime Minister on December 22, 2023 with a scale of nearly 500 hectares and a total investment of nearly VND 3,800 billion, and an operating period of 50 years.
The project is implemented in two communes, Binh Thanh (289 ha) and Binh Hiep (209 ha), Binh Son district, with one side bordering National Highway 1.
The project site is mainly agricultural land and rural residential land. About 130 households will have to move to make way for the project.
The Project’s expected construction period is 60 months.
According to the plan, VSIP II Quang Ngai Industrial Park includes main items such as service works area, production works, warehouses, and technical infrastructure.
The project will develop multi-industry, high-tech industry, environmentally friendly industry associated with urban areas- supporting services. Priority industries to attract investment include: Automobile manufacturing, textiles, food processing, beverages, processing, manufacturing...
It is expected that after completion, VSIP II Quang Ngai will create jobs for about 50,000 workers.
