Over the past 10 years, the relationship between Vietnam and countries in the Middle East - Africa region has been promoted strongly. In particular, since the working visit of Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính to a number of countries in the region in 2024, the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Việt Nam and countries in the Middle East - Africa region has reached many important milestones, marking a new stage of development in the relationship between Việt Nam and regional partners.
The exchanges of high-level delegations between Việt Nam and countries in the Middle East - Africa region have been strengthened in recent years, contributing significantly to tightening good political relations, consolidating personal relations between Vietnamese leaders and leaders of regional countries, and opening up great cooperation opportunities between the two sides.

In 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has identified several specific solutions to further enhance the effectiveness of cooperation in all areas with countries in the Middle East - Africa region. These include continuing to concretize agreements and commitments during high-level visits, creating new momentum for economic, trade and investment cooperation, contributing to strengthening relations between Việt Nam and countries in the Middle East - Africa.
