At the meeting, Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company proposed to invest in several projects, including a high-quality steel rolling project in Binh Thuan commune.
This project will focus on producing urban rail and high-speed rail products and is planned for implementation between 2025 and 2027.
The proposed investment location is in close proximity to the existing Hoa Phat Dung Quat Production Complex and offers convenient access to the area's infrastructure, especially the seaport.
For the initial phase of the project in 2025, approximately 42.03 hectares of land will be required.
According to Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company, the Company has invested in two iron and steel production complexes along with several satellite projects in the Dung Quat Economic Zone.
The Hoa Phat Dung Quat 1 iron and steel production complex, which has a designed capacity of 6 million tons per year, has been operational since 2021.
The Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 iron and steel production complex, with a designed capacity of 5.6 million tons of high-quality hot-rolled steel coil per year, is scheduled to commence synchronous operations in 2025.
The Group aims to enhance local services participating in the construction and operation of key national projects.
From 2025 to 2030, Hoa Phat Group intends to emphasize deep processing and the production of high-quality steel products to meet both domestic demand and export needs, particularly for key national projects.
There will be a special emphasis on producing high-speed rail steel products to meet government expectations.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien highlighted the significance and urgency of the proposed projects for the deep processing and production of high-quality steel products.
These projects are essential for supporting key national initiatives, in line with the government's directives.
Hien emphasized the province's responsibility to address related issues promptly, ensuring favorable conditions for the swift implementation of the projects.
He assigned specific tasks to each relevant department, localities, and urged them to handle matters in compliance with legal provisions, and to report progress to the Provincial People's Committee.
Additionally, the Vice Chairman requested Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company to develop a detailed schedule for each phase of project investment.
Therefore, the province will proactively support any related issues that may arise during the implementation process in accordance with regulations.
