The PPC’s Vice Chairman Vo Phien attends the conference to launch State Bank of Region 9

On March 12, in Da Nang city, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) held a ceremony to launch the State Bank of Region 9. Deputy Governor of the SBV Pham Tien Dung and Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh co-chaired the Conference.

The conference was attended by leaders of five provinces and cities in Region 9 including Quang Tri, Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Da Nang city.

Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 6th Central Conference of the 12th tenure "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently", the SBV has basically completed the reorganization of the apparatus, ensuring the progress and the set roadmap.

The SBV has completed the reorganization of 63 provincial and municipal branches into 15 regional branches. The SBV of Region 9 includes five provinces: Quang Tri, Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Da Nang city, with the Headquarters located in Da Nang.

Mr. Le Anh Xuan was appointed to the position of the SBV’s Director of Region 9.

Region 9 is home to many important coastal economic zones, which can connect economic development among Vietnam's coastal areas and dynamic economic development centers of the region and the world. This region also has a lot of potential to attract mobilized capital in the coming time.

The network of credit institutions in Region 9 ensures safety, suitability, and efficiency, with the goal of bringing banking services and utilities to remote communes.

At the conference, delegates exchanged and discussed the results of general credit activities nationwide and credit in Region 9 in the first months of 2025.

The banking industry in general and the SBV of Regional 9 in particular set target to achieve the credit growth of more than 16 per cent in 2025 in order to support capital for the economy.
