Ly Son District celebrates the 50th anniversary of the district's Liberation Day

The District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ly Son district on March 26 solemnly celebrated the 50th anniversary of the district's Liberation Day (March 31, 1975 - March 31, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Hoang Giang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Tran Phuoc Hien, leaders of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, departments, and localities.

In his speech at the Ceremony, Secretary of the Ly Son District Party Committee, Nguyen Minh Tri, highlighted the tradition of fighting for the homeland's liberation and the progress of the district over the past 50 years.

Ly Son District has seen remarkable progress in various fields, and the material and spiritual lives of the residents have consistently improved.

By 2024, the total production value of the district's economic sectors had increased more than 24 times compared to 1993.

Additionally, the average income per capita in 2024 grew 246.2 times compared to 1993, while budget revenue increased by 104.94 times over the same period.

Commercial and service infrastructure has gradually developed, particularly following the installation of the national power grid.

Investments have been made in markets, supermarkets, accommodation, food services, as well as water and road transport.

The education sector has also experienced positive changes, and healthcare services have been progressively improved.

The Medical Center has been newly invested in and equipped with modern technology to enhance medical examination and treatment for officers, soldiers, and the residents of the island.

Moreover, social security policies and initiatives to express gratitude and support have been effectively implemented.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Hoang Giang praised Ly Son district for its efforts in contributing to the province and country over the past 50 years.

He highlighted Ly Son's cultural significance and heroic history, as well as its potential as a tourist destination.

He called for continued innovation, leadership improvement, and administrative reform to build on the district's achievements.

For the future socio-economic development, Chairman Nguyen Hoang Giang directed the District to focus on leading and implementing key tasks to build a synchronous infrastructure system.

Particularly, the District was requested to develop Ly Son island district into a sea-island tourism center.

Giang asked them to create changes in cultural and social fields, improve human resources, healthcare, poverty reduction, and social security policies, and promote unity among the Party and people as well.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit to one collective for its outstanding achievements.

Ly Son District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to seven collectives with outstanding achievements in the process of building and developing Ly Son district.
