On April 12, in Ly Son district, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism opened the exhibition "Quang Ngai Tourism - Attraction from heritage and identity". This is an activity within the framework of Quang Ngai Tourism Week 2025.
The exhibition introduces more than 300 documents and images of famous landscapes and typical tangible and intangible cultural heritages, reflecting the cultural identity of Quang Ngai, and a system of historical and legal documents affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa archipelago.
The exhibition not only introduces and honors the rich heritage treasure of Quang Ngai, but also conveys the message of sustainable development of the tourism industry, linking heritage conservation and tourism development, affirming the position of Quang Ngai on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world.
Quang Ngai currently possesses a treasure of cultural heritage, with a system of 33 national relics, two special national relics, 176 provincial relics, 10 national intangible cultural heritages and is one of the nine provinces with the Central Vietnam Bài Chòi Art Heritage listed by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Quang Ngai province focuses on implementing projects to protect and restore relics and scenic spots and develop unique tourism products.
By 2030, Quang Ngai will focus on developing Ly Son into a national sea and island tourism center, while connecting Sa Huynh tourism routes and effectively exploiting the value of Sa Huynh cultural heritage associated with tourism, contributing to promoting sustainable development.
On this occasion, representatives of Hoang Sa Exhibition House (Da Nang city) presented a set of documents on sea and island sovereignty to the Quang Ngai Provincial Museum.
The exhibition will last until April 15, 2025.
