The Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee has issued Plan No. 73/KH-UBND to implement the “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) Program in 2025 with a focus on quality, sustainability, and cultural identity.
The plan aims to strengthen the development of OCOP products tied to local traditions and values, preserve traditional crafts, and increase income and job opportunities, especially in rural, mountainous, and island areas.
Key objectives include upgrading core and potential products, promoting digital transformation in production and marketing, and integrating environmental protection and sustainable practices.
The province targets to have at least 70 new products rated 3 to 5 stars, including 2–3 traditional craft products, and to strengthen the capacity of OCOP producers, especially youth and ethnic minorities.
Authorities will support branding, packaging, safety standards, and market access, while encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation.
The plan also emphasizes trade promotion, intellectual property protection, and connecting OCOP products with tourism and export markets.
Localities are instructed to guide and support producers in identifying potential products, accessing policies on credit, technology, training, and establishing cooperatives and small businesses.
Regular monitoring will ensure OCOP standards are maintained and continuously improved.
The province is committed to expanding OCOP’s impact through multi-channel communication, community engagement, and building a strong ecosystem for local economic development.
