Removing difficulties and obstacles to promote disbursement of public investment capital in 2025

On April 3, Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh chaired an online meeting with ministries, agencies and localities to inspect, urge, remove difficulties and obstacles, and promote public investment disbursement in 2025. Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan chaired the meeting at the Quang Ngai bridge point.

Working Group No. 1, led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh, inspected nine ministries and central agencies, including: the Office of the National Assembly, the Government Office, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Government Inspectorate, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, and nine localities: Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, and Binh Thuan.

Reported by the Ministry of Finance, the estimated disbursement rate as of March 31, 2025 of ministries, central and local agencies under Working Group No. 1 reached 11.4 per cent of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister, higher than the national average.

However, there are still some ministries, agencies and localities with disbursement rates below the national average.

In Quang Ngai province, in 2025, the public investment plan assigned by the PM is over VND 5,329 billion.

So far, the province has basically allocated all capital plans for programs, tasks, and projects.

By March 31, the province had disbursed about VND 413 billion, accounting for 7.75 per cent of the capital plan.

The total capital plan allocated to implement three National Target Programs in 2025 is 961 billion VND. By March 31, the estimated disbursement was 72.5 billion VND.

At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan raised difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing compensation, support and resettlement work.

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh commended ministries, central and localities for their commitment to the Government to achieve the disbursement rate according to the set plan.

Binh also emphasized that the world economic situation will continue to have extremely complicated developments.

The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister stated that we need to further accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital in the coming time.

Disbursement should be quick. However, it must be strict, in accordance with regulations and procedures, Binh stressed.
