QUẢNG NGÃI — The People’s Committee of Quảng Ngãi Province has appointed Nguyễn Văn Trọng as Director of the Provincial Department of Finance, officials announced on January 12.
The appointment decision was presented at a conference chaired by Nguyễn Hoàng Giang, Chairman of the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee.
Under Decision No. 36/QĐ-UBND, Trọng, previously Deputy Director in charge of the department, will serve a five-year term from January 10, 2026, to January 10, 2031.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Giang highlighted the Department of Finance’s key role in advising provincial authorities on public finance, budget management and development planning, which is essential to Quảng Ngãi’s socio-economic growth.
He expressed confidence that Trọng would continue to strengthen professional capacity, uphold discipline and unity within the department, and improve policy advisory work to meet development demands in the new phase.
In his acceptance remarks, Trọng pledged to enhance professional standards, promote teamwork and innovation, and effectively support the Provincial People’s Committee in state management of finance and planning, contributing to the province’s long-term socio-economic development.
