QUẢNG NGÃI — Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Công Hoàng on January 9 chaired a meeting to review and give opinions on the proposal to adjust the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Master Plan for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

At the meeting, the consulting unit presented an overview of the proposed adjustments to the master plan.

The revision aims to ensure consistency and alignment with approved national and regional planning frameworks, while redefining socio-economic development orientations and spatial organisation following the administrative restructuring.

The proposal also seeks to ensure overall coherence among sectors and fields, promote balanced development across localities and regions, and align development goals with the province’s capacity to mobilise and effectively use resources, thereby enhancing feasibility.

The adjustment is based on a review of planning indicators of the former Quảng Ngãi and Kon Tum provinces, identifying key tasks and socio-economic development directions in line with the core orientations and strategic breakthroughs outlined in the Resolution of the first Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term.

Representatives from departments, sectors and localities contributed opinions focusing on sectoral development orientations, spatial organisation, alignment between sectoral and overall provincial planning, and the need to update contents related to technical and transport infrastructure, urban development, industry, agriculture, culture, education and services.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Công Hoàng stressed that adjusting the provincial master plan is a key basis for future construction and land-use planning.

He underlined the need to ensure scientific rigor, consistency with national and regional plans, and clarity of development drivers and key growth areas, closely linked to the province’s ability to mobilise and efficiently use resources, in line with the Resolution of the first Provincial Party Congress.

He requested the Department of Finance and the consulting unit to fully absorb feedback, review and finalise the adjusted master plan, and proactively develop a clear roadmap in close coordination with relevant agencies and localities to ensure progress and quality in accordance with regulations.
