On the afternoon of January 13, Vice Chairman Trần Phước Hiền attended the 7ᵗʰ online meeting of the State Steering Committee for nationally important programs, projects, and major energy-sector developments.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Bùi Thanh Sơn, Head of the State Steering Committee.
At the meeting, leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, along with representatives of relevant ministries, agencies, and state-owned groups, presented an overview of the nationwide implementation of key national programs and major energy projects.
Participants also highlighted existing challenges and bottlenecks during project execution and proposed solutions to accelerate progress in the coming period.
In his concluding remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Bùi Thanh Sơn acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, ministries, local authorities, and enterprises in advancing energy projects over recent years.
Several projects have been successfully launched, while integrated power–gas project chains have achieved initial positive results.
Looking ahead, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need to further enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the State Steering Committee’s operations, guided by the principle of “clear assignment of responsibilities, clear tasks, clear timelines, and clear accountability.”
He called for a comprehensive review of all projects, with a strong focus on removing land clearance bottlenecks, expediting nationally important projects, and strictly addressing delayed projects.
These measures, he emphasized, are essential to ensuring national energy security and striving for the successful completion of key tasks set for 2026.
