This visit commemorated two significant anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of the Ba To Uprising (March 11, 1945 - March 11, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of Quang Ngai Province Liberation Day (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025).
Leading a delegation from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman Giang paid tribute to members of the Ba To Guerrilla Team residing in Hanoi City.
The delegation visited the family of Lieutenant General Pham Kiet in Hai Ba Trung District and Tran Quy Hai family in Ba Dinh District.
Additional visits included families of Nguyen Chanh in Thanh Xuan District, Le Lac in Tay Ho District, and Nguyen Tan Phuoc in Bac Tu Liem District.
Chairman Giang and the delegation respectfully offered incense and expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of the Ba To Guerrilla Team members, who played a crucial role in the historic victory of the Ba To Uprising 80 years ago.
Chairman Giang emphasized that the Party Committee, the government, and people of Quang Ngai Province always honor and remember the significant contributions made by these heroes to the cause of national liberation and reunification, as well as to the development of the Quang Ngai homeland.
During the visit, the Chairman kindly inquired about the health and living conditions of the families of the Ba To Guerrilla Team members.
He provided updates on the province's recent socio-economic developments and future plans.
He also expressed his hope that the families would continue to preserve and promote their revolutionary traditions and support the Party Committee, the government, and the provincial community in their efforts to further enhance the prosperity of Quang Ngai.
Family representatives of the Ba To Guerrilla Team expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the affection and attention shown by the provincial leaders.
They voiced their happiness over the achievements in socio-economic development that the province has attained in the 50 years since liberation.
Additionally, they expressed their confidence in the current leadership of Quang Ngai province. They hoped that the provincial leaders would continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, creativity, and innovation in management and governance to make Quang Ngai Province more and more developed.
The families committed to upholding their revolutionary traditions and encouraging their children and grandchildren to excel in their careers and support their family’s economic development.
