On September 8, Deputy Minister of Health Đỗ Xuân Tuyên had a working session with the Quảng Ngãi Provincial People’s Committee on the implementation of decentralization and the reorganization of local healthcare facilities under the two-tier local government model.

According to the provincial Department of Health, after the merger, the health system now consists of the Department of Health and 44 affiliated units, with a total of over 8,970 staff positions assigned for 2025.
The reorganization was completed and officially came into effect on July 1, 2025, ensuring stable operations, human resources, and professional activities to meet the healthcare needs of residents.

She expressed the province’s expectation that the Ministry of Health will continue to provide support, particularly in training and improving the quality of human resources and professional expertise, as well as in building a unified, nationwide-connected healthcare system to facilitate public access to medical services.

Speaking at the working session, Deputy Minister Đỗ Xuân Tuyên emphasized the importance of strengthening grassroots healthcare, promoting digital transformation and IT application in management and treatment, and enhancing training and professional support for local healthcare workers to improve service quality for the people.
