Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Hoang Giang, is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and administration of all activities of the Provincial People's Committee.

He leads members of the Provincial People's Committee, heads of departments, agencies, affiliated enterprises, and People's Committees of communes, wards, and special administrative zones under the province.

He directly oversees the following areas:

• Planning, strategies, mechanisms, and policies for the province’s socio-economic development
• Budget management and development investment planning
• Organizational structure, personnel affairs
• National defense, security, inspection, emulation and commendation
• Human resource development, administrative reform, administrative procedure control
• Digital transformation and investment promotion

He also directs and applies measures to address urgent or unexpected matters related to:

• Natural disaster prevention and response
• Fire and explosion incidents
• Epidemics, security and order
• Traffic safety
• Other key issues that require direct intervention at specific times

He maintains relations between the Provincial People’s Committee and:

• Central ministries and agencies
• Advisory and assisting bodies of the Provincial Party Committee
• The Provincial People’s Council

Additional responsibilities include:

• Chairman of the Provincial Council for Emulation and Commendation
• Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council
• Head of the Provincial Traffic Safety Committee
• Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Digital Transformation
• Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search & Rescue
• Head of the Provincial Border Affairs Steering Committee
• Head of other steering committees as assigned by the Central Government and the Provincial Party Standing Committee
