On October 7, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyễn Hoàng Giang inspected the progress of two major projects: the upgrade of the Provincial General Hospital and the Quảng Ngãi Political School.
The Provincial General Hospital upgrade project includes renovation, expansion, and installation of modern medical equipment.
The 3-story building in the South (Item 1) has been basically completed and is expected to be handed over and put into operation on October 10, 2025. For the 8-story building (Item 2), the contractor has completed and put into operation the emergency area and the 6th–8th floor inpatient areas, while other works are underway.
Several advanced machines, such as a specialized cardiac ultrasound system and a 128-slice CT Scanner, have been installed, helping improve healthcare services for local residents.
The Quảng Ngãi Political School project, implemented from 2023 to 2026, includes new construction of a four-storey lecture hall (Block C), a two-storey hall with 350 seats, a one-storey multipurpose building, and a three-storey dormitory, along with renovations of an existing four-storey dormitory.
To date, the newly built and renovated dormitories have been completed, while the hall and the lecture block are undergoing interior construction and equipment installation, scheduled for completion in December 2025. When put into use, the project will ensure teaching and learning conditions, improve the quality of education and research of the school, aiming to help the Political School to meet national Level-2 standards by 2030.
Chairman Nguyễn Hoàng Giang commended the efforts of investors and contractors, urging them to accelerate construction progress, ensure quality, and complete the projects on schedule with proper fund disbursement.
